Hi my name is Dr. Pang; I am a 37 year old female. I was diagnosed with PCOS in August of 2015 and am now on the latest cycle of clomiphene citrate (Clomid). I am a female who has always had PCOS and was given clomiphene citrate (Clomid) because my cycle had not been well tolerated with the side effects like abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and fatigue. The side effects of Clomid are mild (fever, chills, headaches, nausea and fatigue). I take clomiphene citrate in the morning and at night for a few days to get the full effects. The cycle can be continued with the use of Clomid until the symptoms are gone. I have been on it for about 8 months and I am feeling better. I am not sure if I will be able to get back on the Clomid, but I don't know if I will be able to get off it.
I have been on Clomid for over a year now and am on the latest cycle of Femara (Clomiphene Citrate). The side effects of the Clomid are mild and I have had no problems with my liver function tests. The side effects of Femara are similar to the side effects of Clomid and the Femara side effect profile is similar, but I have found that it is not possible to stop the Clomid and the side effects are less severe. I know that there are many things I can do to help improve the side effects of Femara but I am not sure that I can do them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
